The lifespan of a SKYCIG battery is completely subjective to its charge and the frequency of your use. A fully charged battery can last anywhere from 20 minutes up to many hours or even days depending on how you smoke. For heavy smokers, especially those quitting traditional cigarettes, the lifespan of a battery may be much shorter as you may be consistently smoking it for long periods of time without a break.
Proper Charging
It is very important to first charge the SKYCIG case on its own, before charging or screwing in a battery. The cig pack itself holds a charge that can recharge a battery up to 4 times which is a key benefit to SKYCIG and also a unique advantage in the market. This allows you to charge on the go during the day. Please watch the below video to fully understand proper case and battery charging procedures:
Step 1: Charge the Pack first (no battery)
Plug the Cig pack into the wall without a battery screwed in. Then let it charge for a couple hours, the blue light on the USB should go out (if for some reason it is still on after a couple hours try wiggling the cord) and the pack should be fully charged. After the blue light on the USB goes out the case has a full charge.
Step 2: Charge the Battery
Now, unplug the pack and screw the battery in. The red light on the side of the pack should illuminate. When the battery is done charging the light on the pack should go from being constant red, to blinking or even out altogether. This means the battery for your SKYCIG is now charged. Remove the battery by unscrewing it, assemble the e-cig and you are ready to go.
If your battery is blinking, it is likely drained and needs to be charged. Your SKYCIG will not work with a drained battery so make sure you recharge it prior to using the device. The other reason the battery may blink is if it is being overused. You will know the difference by leaving the cig alone for 30 seconds, and trying it again. If it blinks the battery is drained, if it works (doesn't blink) then you were smoking too frequently.
Related Information
Charging the battery while the pack is plugged into the wall still works, but it never gets a 100% full charge, and the case LED will be inconsistent with its illumination which can be confusing to you. This is because part of the charge from the mains is going direct to the battery, and part is going direct to the case, meanwhile the battery is pulling from the case charge.
Keep in mind that the batteries are air sensitive. If you are moving the battery around place to place, putting it in a purse or pocket, and constantly keeping it in motion, the battery will regularly activate with the change in environment. With this, you will reduce the charge of the battery. Always store the battery in the charge pack and in a stationary environment.
